Launching of “Edition E”, completion of 20 years of Mercedes-Benz E-Class

On 24th February, Mercedes-Benz India launched special editions of most selling E-Class sedan. This was known as Mercedes-Benz “Edition E”. This was edition special marking 20th anniversaries of E-Class in India. Mercedes-Benz E-Class was nation’s top most selling luxurious sedan. It was 1st luxurious car also to be “Made in India”.

This is present in variants numbered 3: E350 CDI, E200, and E250. Mercedes-Benz “Edition E” was priced in between Rupees 48.6 lakhs to Rupees 60.61 lakhs (ex-showrooms, Delhi). Mercedes-Benz “Edition E” appears somewhat same as regularized E-Class, but it is redesigned slightly by grille and headlamps. It gets also badging of Edition E and navigation system of Garmin.

It is edition limited. So it continues featuring similar options of engine like 2.2 litre diesel, 3 litre diesels and 2 litre petrol. These powers regularized models. All engines come mated with 7 speeded automatic gearboxes. Roland Folger, CEO and Managing Director, of Mercedes-Benz India said that launching of “Edition E” underlines strongly strategies of refreshing periodically best-selling existing products. This enables winning confidence of customer offering those products being value driven.

He said also that along with introductions of “Edition E” there are launchings of exciting branded campaigns known as “Wish upon a Star”. This campaign conducts commemorating of 20 years of E-Class legacies in India. E-Class is soul and heart of enthusiasts of motoring.
